JAMES FRANGIONI

Born in Florence in 1989, he lives in the town of Reggello. He began studying the violin at the age of six years, continuing with the M,. Christine Geissmann, student of Corrado Romano and Roberto Michelucci, and at the same time under the supervision of the concert pianist M… Roberto Michelucci. After passing the classical high school with the highest marks, in 2010 he was admitted to the Conservatory of State Music “Luigi Cherubini” in Florence, graduating with the highest marks under the guidance of Maestro Stefano Michelucci. He also regularly dedicates himself to chamber music, in Duo and in Trio studying with Daniela De Santis, and attending masterclasses of Maestro Alain Meunier, the Trio di Parma and the Trio Tchaikowsky.

He also took part in the special specialization courses held by Mr. Marco Rizzi at the Perosi Academy in Biella, by Mr Pavel Vernikov, Igor Volochine and Svetlana Makarova at the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Bergamo and the School of Music in Fiesole, by master K. Wegrzyn in Switzerland and Austria. In 2015 he is a student at the European Chamber Music Academy, with Masters such as Meisl, Mommertz, Nannoni etc, and is selected for a scholarship to the course of Quartet and chamber music by Gunther Pichler, first violin of the quartet Alban Berg, at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena.

After attending the courses of high specialization of Maestro P.Vernikov and the Trio of Parma at the School of Music in Fiesole, he studied with Domenico Pierini, shoulder of the orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and K. Wegrzyn , Director of the Hanover Conservatory and Artistic Director of the J. Ioachim International Violin Competition. He has performed as a soloist or in chamber ensembles in various concert halls and state museums in Italy, Switzerland, Austria etc. and has collaborated with several orchestras, including the Italian Youth Orchestra, in which he was the winner of the competition for the first parts, suitable as a concert.

Since 2015 he has also been a regular violin teacher at numerous music schools in the province of Florence and Arezzo.

In 2019 he was the winner in competitions for the orchestra of the Puccini festival in Torre del Lago and the orchestra of the piano festival in Brescia and Bergamo. Since 2019 he has also been working with the Camera Fiorentina orchestra and the Toscana Classica orchestra.

Dal 2015 intraprende stabilmente anche l’attività di docente di violino presso numerose scuole di musica nella provincia di Firenze e Arezzo. Nel 2019 è risultato vincitore nei concorsi per l’orchestra del festival Puccini di Torre del Lago e l’orchestra del festival pianistico di Brescia e Bergamo. Dal 2019 collabora inoltre stabilmente con l’orchestra da Camera Fiorentina e l’orchestraToscana Classica.
