MAURIZIO MARCHINI

Musician, graduated in singing and musical disciplines (Conservatorio L. Cherubini, Florence). Born in Rimini in 1974, Maurizio Marchini began his musical studies in 1981 at the school “Lettimi” and in 1983 he joined the musical band of the city of Rimini as trumpeter.

In 2007 he completed his university studies in singing and music at the L. Cherubini Conservatory in Florence proposing to the commission a thesis of “mixed” degree (singing and theoretical discussion), entitled: “The melodic language in the love duet of the first Bohème painting”

He opened his opera career in 2004 with the Chorus Lirico Marchigiano V. Bellini of Macerata and has collaborated several times with the Chorus of Maggio Fiorentino in several performances including Aida, Don Carlo and Carmina Burana. From 2006 to today he regularly performs in the concert seasons – opera of the C.O.I.F (Italian Opera Company in Florence) He has performed in numerous private concerts, including for famous international artists including John Legend and Leona Lewis. He currently works as a freelancer with numerous Italian and international theatres and art associations.

Operatic roles in the repertoire: Rodolfo (La Bohème), Alfredo (La Traviata), Don Josè (Carmen), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Tamino (Magic Flute), Don Basilio (Marriage of Figaro), Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Conte d’Alamaviva (The Barber of Seville), Arturo, Norman (Lucia di Lammermoor).
