PILGRIM GOSPEL
The Director, Maestro Gianni Mini. Graduated in violin and lyric singing, Gianni Mini played for the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, for the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina and for many other orchestras. After a concert activity he dedicated himself to singing: since 2001 he has collaborated with the RAI Symphony Orchestra singing with the choir Ruggero Maghini, with Athestis, with Ricercare Ensemble and other choirs and ancient music groups throughout Italy. It was directed by such masters as Jeffry Tate, G. Albrecht, Rafael Fruhbek de Burgos, Peter Philips, Filippo Maria Bressan, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli.
Gianni Mini, He collaborated with the Choir of the University of Florence conducting the Ensemble, specialized in ancient and baroque music. At the same time as his classical studies, he undertook a course of study for Jazz and Soul vocals that brought him closer to African-American sounds, Spiritual and Gospel. He has collaborated with great names of national and international music and music culture such as: Gianna Nannini, Laura Pausini, Raffaella Carrà, Bob Singleton, Cheryl Porter, Chanda Rule, E. Armstrong, Sherrita Duran, Jennifer Vargas, Giò di Tonno, Francesca Taverni, Cristian Gineo, Stefania Scarinzi. An eclectic voice that manages to merge various genres, from Baroque music to Mozart and Rossini Operas, also plays musical repertoires in various roles from Porgy and Bess to the Phantom of the Opera to Chicago, From Hair to Pinocchio, All Together Passionately Up to The Wizard of Oz. Musical Director of the Musical Love Story which debuted at the Carcano in Milan and at the Teatro Sistina in Rome in September and October 2016.
Musical director of the musical in concert form of Les Miserables. Chorus master for the Fondazione Teatro Verdi “Orchestra della Toscana” for West Side Story in 2017. Director and special Guest for the evening dedicated to Mr. Luciano Pavarotti on 14 September 2018 at Palazzo Borghese in Florence. Singing teacher for “Musical Weekend” in Florence, project supported by Bruno Borraccini co-founder of the Compagnia della Rancia, directed by Francesca Cipriani, directed by Stefania Pacifico.
Current Collaborations in Italy:
– Director of children’s chorus for the Venti Lucenti project at the Teatro dell’Opera in Florence, with the staging of various Operas from Fidelio all’Italiana in Algiers to The Magic Flute.
– Artistic Director at 5 star Hotel Lusso Relais Santa Croce in Florence by Baglioni Hotels, for the realization of important musical events.
– Collaboration with Jennifer Vargas for gospel concerts, which led to the creation of a CD released in the twentieth year of the Association The Pilgrims Gospel.
– Vocal-coach for singers, dancers and actors including Luana Biz and Jessica of X-Factor and Tommaso Pini classified 3 I. at the second edition of The Voice.
– Holds Master Classes of vocal technique for dancers in dance schools for dancers for musicals.
